I'm taking a cruz up there next weekend for a beer festival at Squaw Valley

Just got back. Amazing time. Spend a night in one of the casinos and gamble all night. Look at concert schedules down there. Great acts...Tim McGraw and rascal flats.

In the north side, we did zip lining at Tahoe treehouse sports, then did a whitewater rafting trip. Class 3-4 for adults. Spend a day in truckee....near shops line the streets and good restaraunts.

There are gondolas in south and north. Heavenly in the south and u can hike. Squaw valley and North Star have them too. The ritz in N has a free gondola with a nice restaurant up on top. Make reservations. In the south, Harvey's has a restaurant on top where u can dine over an amazing view of lake and sunset

The Donner Party State Historic Park is interesting. In 1846 a group traveling west to CA screwed up big time, and fit stuck in an early snowfall and had to stay the winter in primitive conditions. The ultimately resorted to cannibalism.

I have done a bunch of reading on it, and believe a distant relative of my wife, Patrick Dolan was Christmas dinner that year. The original group to use that route was the Stephens Party in 1843, they made it OK across, settled in the SJ area and my archery club is in a county park named after Stephens who settled there. Small world.

My wife and I got married there. In Stateline, there is a biker bar on the main drag. We both agreed that they served the best breakfast we had ever eaten. I wish I remembered the name of it. Still to this day, my favorite vactation spot. Enjoy!!!
