Duck Marsh Build Question

Me and a friend of mine are cutting out a bunch of reeds in an artesian well this weekend. I was thinking about throwing corn out in the water (3"-6" deep) to get the pigs in to root up the place. My question is will the pigs even touch the corn in the water or eat just what is on the banks? And should I try to keep some of the vegetation even though there is plenty vegetation surrounding the hole we are cutting?

I'd just get some seed from a local feed store depending on what you want to plant.

I'm pretty sure the best way is to plant it let it grow then flood it.

You can save alot of money by getting Japanese millet and rice and sorghum at the feed store or seed supply. You'll be able to do alot more area for prolly the same price.

I've heard Japanese millet usually does pretty good. I've been wanting to try it to
