To all you guys who are more savvy in this department, I have a few questions.

What are the specs I would need to look for to shoot outdoor video?
Ex: Blood trailing deer or general outdoor video

What specs should I stay away from ?

What is a reasonable price for a mid grade DSLR Camera ?

It is a little tricky from what little bit that I know about it. The best bet for moving objects and having a good fluid video is going to be with a video camera IMO.
In a controlled environment you can get very nice video with a DSLR.
