A customer's choc lab just had lab/gsp pups 6 wks ago. 3 boys 3 girls. I'm thinkin about gettin one...anyone have a lab/gsp mix? What can ya tell me?!

We have a Golden/GSP cross. Good nose, smart, trains easily, loves water, and will retrieve quite well. Just a bit more hyper than the Golden. I would think that you would see very similar results with the Lab/GSP cross. -

I've had both, but never in the same dog... will NEVER own another GSP! WAY too dang hyper for my taste. It all depends on what character traits the pups get from which parent... GSP nose= GOOD. Lab temperment= GOOD... opposite... NO WAY!Comment
