Anybody else read it? I was a little shocked to see how badly that pse spanked the competition.

I don't typically read those! Generally those are 1 persons point of view and sometimes bias! I still shoot every bow that I can, before I make a purchase, and then go by how they felt to me! If I read those articles, they will put ideas in my head before I ever touch a bow and I don't think I could be as open minded.

Sooo, I was totally wrong on that magazine. I read it in Outdoor Life. Anyways...the test seemed to stay true to scientific results instead of opinions. They tested speed, noise, vibration, arrow drop, kinetic energy, weight, and arrow time of flight using standard scientific measurements. Bows tested included pse,bow tech, Hoyt, Matthews, McPherson, bear, obsession, quest, diamond, mission, prime, redhead, darton, strother, and cabelas. So your favorite company probably had a product in the mix.

In the past 5 years PSE has really upped themselves.. I only see two bows listed that have less vibration and it is such a minimal amount that one might not notice it with a good Stabilizer.Last edited by Skullworks52; 07-31-2013, 04:08 PM.

Yep, a quality bow for sure. However, the only quality I really care about is how well it fits me and how well I can shoot it. Some of those "inferior" results may actually feel differently in some people's hands versus others. But, from a purely "technical" aspect it seems to be a good test

Personally I don't think you can go wrong with any one the 3.5 to 4 star bows.
I don't like how they said the PSE won. I'm not saying Diamond is great but they tested $899.99 PSE vs a $499.99 diamond. I would like to see how the $849.99 dollar diamond stacked up against it.Last edited by Black Ice; 07-31-2013, 04:47 PM.
