I had heard this a long time ago, but never tried it. Didn't really believe it

I just start a chain saw or weed eater and leave it running on the ground for a while. Then dig em up. But the sticks work for sure. Also, I was cleaning out a old diesel tank and poured some on the ground, and worms came out of the ground like crazy. That works too! Haha

I've only ever seen it on Dirty Jobs.

We always just dug for them, and hoped luck would provide some worms. I wanna try grunting for them some time though.

I learn all kinds of things on this site! I am definitely gonna try this

Have any of you ever seen that movie "Dune" that came out in the 80s? (I think Sting starred in it). Anyway, the giant sand worms in the desert that eat people react the same way. I thought about this when reading this thread. Just thought it was kinda funny...

I've seen the chainsaw/weedeater trick but never "fiddling" or "grunting". Very cool.

We used a piece of old broom handle and cut notches in it, then used a piece of rebar. Heck of a lot easier than digging them.

                              Freaked my MIL out too

I’ll have to try the sticks one day…if it rains again.
