Crossbow question

I know I am asking about a crossbow. But, after getting 50 + stitches from my compound I need a change in weapon this year. Anyone suggest a good crossbow?

I've been doing some studying on this idea too. For my needs I have an Excalibur at the top of my list too

I like the idea of the Excalibur since they are recurves and not compound Xbows. It seems like a lot less to break or go wrong.

That is why i bought one. Killed several animals with it out to 55 yards.

Barnett has been making them longer than most here have been shooting compounds. I have a Barnett Predator, shooting 170 gr. NAP FOC, will go through anything at 370 fps! It's accuracy is crazy good!

I shot 2 doe and a spike with it last year and my wife shot a huge 10 pt with it last year. I had real bad Tendinitis last year and loved the crossbow. I'm back to shooting my compound but I'll probably bring the crossbow out for a doe or two.

The new Excaliber 355 and 380 are really nice crossbows.

I really like the Excalibur line of crossbows... I have an ibex and you can usually find one new under 600 bucks and cabelas has them on sale now I believe. The trigger (for me ) was a bugger bear to get used to even with a three pound pull and I still jerk a shot every once in a while just out of impatience......Ilove it ...It has extended my addiction into my 60's..... Definitely like the recurve ...
