Naming Deer ??

Sounds good man! I just read through the thread link that Smart put up. Lots of good bucks in there along with some cool names.

I don't name mine till there on the ground. The ones that get shoulder mounted get the hunting story written down, placed in an envelope and taped to the back of the shield. Maybe some day when I'm dead and gone somebody will read that story and get some enjoyment out of it.

747 (Widest on the place so far)
Bur (Stickers on both sides "stickerbur")

Megatron... that was hilarious... people wanted non descriptor names so i started by naming them after 80's cartoon characters... only that one stuck... and no one has complained about names since..

He was killed by a young bow hunter from wichita falls. Scored like 174 or something.

Yes we name them constantly. It makes it fun and clear when you refer to a particular buck.

We call this one old man.

His name is Yogi.
