Other than the straight upright, I like it.

More progress on the redfish mount: I didn't like the overall look of the shape I cut out and how it was all going together. So I reshaped it and added some driftwood for look as well as stability.

After roughly attaching the fish to the wood,
I then retrofitted the plexi to accept the protrusions from the new wall support.

After the wood was cut, I overlaid the glass and marked where support screws would be anchoring the plexi down.

I then drilled a hole large enough to clear the screw threads and countersinking the head.
Doing this allowed the top piece of exposed wood to sit flush on top of the plexi.

After I was happy with the edited layout, I pulled off the plastic covering off the glass and voilà.

Next is to fill in the spacial gaps cut for the fin and mullet. Then, attach the gold spoon and fishing line. Lastly, a wavy coat of brushed on envirotex to get a better effect.

Coach W, if I get another bobcat to mount, I'd be happy to share. I have 2 gray fox (one's mine and one donated from TheGeneral here on TBH) that I may get to mess with.

To illustrate movement, I tubed on some modge podge (which dries clear). I'll build up these areas and then coat with Envirotex as the final step. May pour out some splash pieces to go around the mullet first and attach.

No matter how good the mount, they still look like a deer in the headlights with something up his rump.

                        Just my opinion.
I call them bar mounts because every old deer mount you see hanging in a bar is straight on.

By the way WS, your work looks great to me.

It did. Still got a couple other mounts in queue prior to that one starting.
