    Out sourcing is a waste!

Ok I'm not one to rag on people because of their accents. I figure hell they speak one more language than I do. But, I have been managing a outsource team from India for two months and man is this a waste of time!
I can take a schlep with no IT experience off the street and train him faster and make him more productive and faster than it is taking just to get the Indians to understand what needs to be done.

Sorry but I had rant on it!!

Yeah but that schlep off the street costs more than that indian does. That is the whole point. Ive been through it moning stuff to Mexico and China, it aint fun.

There's definilty some usefulness to sourcing when growing a company. But sourcing IT/Customer Service I have never thought was a good idea. Nothing like getting connected to a customer service agent in India named Bradley for a local problem.

I cant understand any of em. AT&T is the worst. They finally connect me back to somebody in Dallas that I can understand. I cringe every time I have to call em...

That is one of the reasons our customers like working with my company. Outsourcing IT has it's own challenges. Trying to explain an IT issue to someone who has no clue what the problem is or understanding the language you are speaking is twice as hard. Our helpdesk is 100% Texas based by employees.

I like to use the saying, "You've got three options: Cheap, Fast, and Quality, but you can only choose two."
