    Transporting the Kill

Planning a hunting trip to New England this winter hopefully, and the plan is to take a bear and a deer. I've never hunted somewhere that wasn't within driving distance. What are my options for getting my kills home to texas?

Well, first of all, you'll have to get that vacation approved by management. Management is more easily persuaded if they are invited. Just saying.

Seriously, it can be expensive with baggage fees, but the easiest way is to pack them in a cooler or coolers and check them as baggage if you're flying. I've done it several times and it's not that big of a deal. Good luck bud. Hope you're liking your new position.

What he said! Back when the whole oryx restricting thing was going on, I flew to Texas (I live in Vegas) to get one in before the it began. I was able to bring back meat with me in a cooler.

Now, the cape/skull cap was a different issue. They wanted to charge to much due to the size volumn it took up, so I left it with a local taxi. Not, I have a mount I can't get back to me here But I got it

Most airlines will charge you a fee for skulls, capes, antlers, etc.

Not trying to hijack thread but Bowhuntamistad, I have a friend who drives from the Austin area to Vegas at least once a year. I might be able to set an express up for your mount if interested let me know and I will see what I can do.
