if you only see one drain line coming from air handler in attic/closet trace it and confirm that is the one where water is coming from. if so its doing what it is supposed to. but if in doubt call a pro.

it sure sounds like a secondary drain line to me but nothing surprises me much any more (and this is only after 1.5 years )

do not blow the line unless you are certain that is only line. shop vac also works. make sure you have one of two openings closed so you actually get force on line whether you use vac or compressed air.

in most cases the primary will be tied to drain line in bathroom or kitchen sink. can be a huge mess if you blow a line not knowing where it terminates. have someone with a towel covering drain in sink when you blow a line.

please don't use bleach. to many issues with things that could go pass. use pan tabs - safer and smells better.

I have three yes three a/c's in my house and all of them have a primary drain that ties into the sewer plumbing and they also have a secondary drain that comes off of the pan and these run out to the eves.

You might want to check and make sure the automatic shutoff thing-a-ma-jiggy is in place in your pan too just in case the secondary gets clogged up before you have someone out to look at it. It will at least shut ur unit off once the pan gets full versus it overflowing into the casa.

My outside overflow drains constantly and has for many years.

I do go in the attic and pour bleach down the drain to make sure it never clogs.

How do you plan on unclogging the line if you don't blow it out?

My drain has a union in the line that I bust and funnel bleach down to kill fungus, when I change the filter.

It's going to be tied into to a bathroom sink I bet ya. Call a professional to come clear the clog and let him tell you how he does it. I had the same problem two weeks ago, on a weekend, and it only cost $135.

this is one of those you probably need to find someone to show you.....
and it would be worth it to pay for it to be cleaned if you don't do it regularly.

Wanted to give you guys a update. I can always count on the GS for help. I took the compressor up in to the attic blew 120psi into the pipe a couple of times then pored a glass of warm water and bleach in the pipe let it sit for about an hour and hit it again with the compressor. Worked like a charm. I was getting really worried. But all is well in the Kuehl household again.

                        Thanks guys

Edit: The primary was under our guest bathroom sink. We have three bathrooms and of coarse it was the last one I checked. I took the hose off when I was pouring the bleach in up in the attic. It was pretty nasty to see what came out of there.
