    Advice/Help what would you do?

    Thanks for looking.
I have seen a lot of great advice on here and thought I would try to get some.
In 08 I was severely injured in Iraq. Broke my back in 4 places and have a brain injury.
This is the first year I have felt well enough to try and bow hunt again and will be my first time hunting in Tx. and hopefully get my first bow kill.
So here is what I am hoping to pick your brain about.
A friend has offered me a place to hunt deer this year. About 75 acres of hunting area in Salado. Unfortunately he is a very busy person and has not been able to clear a path to the blind. I am unable to get my camera or mineral blocks out. I don't even know what the area really looks like at this point and think I might have to go in completely blind.
I have limited mobility, can walk with my cane and brace for short distances, and can not drive so getting out there to try and do some work on it myself just isn't working.
It seems like I don't have a whole lot of options at this point.
So if it was you, going in blind what are some of the things you would/wouldn't do?
Any advice you can give me would be greatly appreciated.
Sorry if confusing and long read.
    Thanks

First, thanks for your service and sacrifice!!!

I am taking bets that one or more of our quality brethren or brethrenettes in the Salado area will step up to assist a challenged TBHer, especially a vet!

Bump... Let's get a vet some help here.

I would be willing to drive up for a work day and get things squared away.

Lots of good TBHer's in that area. One of them will see this shortly, I imagine you'll get more help than you need

I would be willing to go to Salado to help. It would have to be on a weekend and I would likely have my kids with me. My wife works on the weekends and has the truck, so I only have the Honda Civic. If that car can make it onto the property then I can pick you up and bring you out to Salado.

If we could get another TBHer to help and give you a ride back to Harker then that would be great (as I am coming form the opposite direction)

Thanks everyone, I dont want to put anyone out, but I will try to contact the land owner and see if he would be willing to let me bring someone on to help get place ready.
If not any advice on going in blind on opening day.
I can talk my wife into getting me out to the place once in a while. Love her to death but she is a city girl and has no desire to do anything with hunting, wont even eat it. She did buy me my bow but I think it ws just to,shut me up.

Have you checked with the sportsman center there at Ft. Hood? I'm sure Judy the hunt coordinator or someone there could point you in the right direction on Hood. Lots of great opportunities for hunting.
