I haven't used it as a personal insect repellent, but I spray it in my yard a couple times a year. Bugs go bye-bye... fleas, ticks, grasshoppers, whatever.

From what I remember from High School working at the Feed Store, Permethrin is the synthetic form of Pyrethrin which is an oil or something from a plant. 20 years ago most of the flea & tick sprays' main ingredient was one or the other. I would assume that it still works, but I don't know about the scent free part.

It works pretty good. Definitely helps.

The best stuff is the Permanone that has BOTH Permethrin AND Piperonyl butoxide. Check the label. It's real hard to find the stuff with Piperonyl butoxide in it. If you find it though and treat your clothing with it. It's like tick and chigger armor.

buy it 10% strength on ebay for about $13.00, cut it 20 to 1. put it in a pump sprayer makes over 2 gal. lots cheaper and works great.

Great stuff. But you must be sure to apply it only to clothing and let it dry prior to wearing the clothing. Not to be applied directly to skin. I have used it for years in the spring before turkey hunting and have never had a tick on me since using it.

I've used it before and didn't have any tick issues while out at Laguna Atascosa, which has tons of them

Same stuff in bug-b-gone, and a lot larger quantity.

This stuff works great. Treats your clothes, and not your body

It works great. It will last a couple of washings.
