My 13 year old nephew from Florida is spending a few weeks with my family this Summer. He brought his bow with him to try and stick a hog for his first bow kill. While drawing his bow(an older Jennings Buckmaster Handed down from his Big brother when he left for the Marine Corps), we heard a crack! This is what broke.

Would having the draw weight too low contribute to this?
Should I replace this part?
If yes, where can I find it?
Would he be better off to retire this one?
Does anyone have an affordable bow that will adjust down to about 35lb they would like to part with?
We are about to head out to Inks Lake for a Boy Scout Campout, so I don't know if I'll be able check TBH til Sunday. Any help is appreciated.
