    Disc Cooker (Breaking one in"

I just landed a "Plow Disc" and wanted to know how to prepare it for cooking.
Took my grinder and sanded all the cooking surfaces, is that good enough?
    It was not store bought.
    Here's a pic.

I believe the smart thing to do is put it through a few heat cycles…and do it with olive oil or bacon grease or what have you….it will season it and the metal will absorb some of the oil preventing it from rusting easily/quickly. Don’t wash it with soap and water…just wipe it down when you are done.

He is. PB made and seasoned mine. NOTHING sticks to it. Eggs literally slide down to the middle.

Heat and lard! Store it with oil or pork grease on it.

as stated above season numerous times with lard .. then when you clean and ready for storage wipe it down with mineral oil (lightly)

                      Cool disk.

                      I like the beefy handles.

Cook a lot of pork and bacon in it. Mine has 15 yrs of pork far on it. Fajitas taste great on it!

                          Thanks!
Not to cause or stir anything up but I had it made in a Ranch in Mexico.
                          My GF brought it up.

Get it as hot as it can take, will glow cherry red, all along adding lard or grease. it will season the metal so that it never rusts and will cook good.
