Buying something off Craigslist without PayPal

I am thinking of purchasing something from Craigslist, but the seller does not accept PayPal. Is there a safe way to purchase something from a seller if not FTF?

I wouldn't trust anyone to ship me anything off of craigslist. Either FTF or no deal.

I have never bought anything off Craig's list that wasn't FTF


And I have bought a lot of stuff off there

FTF transactions only on CL. I've bought, sold and given away a lot of stuff on CL.
If they're not in the area, there's too high a chance it's a scam.

Only FTF and I even had some extra hands to ride with me with a couple of AR's ready to roll.... I bought a jeep in the not so good part of Houston.

Made the exchange of cash, he signed the title, grabbed it, hopped in the jeep and rolled outta there.
