    Target Sights breaking....

My son shoots a Hoyt Vantage Elite Pro at 55#

It has broke a set of Sword Titans where the scope rod enters the windage bar. Broke both rods at different times.

CBE Target Elites snapped the windage bar on them after about 700 shots. I piece milled it together with another scope rod and it broke that also after about 150 shots. That was during a competition so had to make due. Since the Swords are still broke.

Whats the problem? Has anyone had this issue before?

Vibration is the culprit, but they should not break that easily. Is the screw breaking or the piece that slides back and forth for windage adjustment. I would call CBE first thing in the morning. Tell them whats going on. They will send you what you need. Limbsaver makes some little stick on limsaver discs that you can apply to your sight bar that will dampen the vibration.

Custom Bow Equipment offers innovative compound bow hunting sights, target sights and archery accessories giving precision archers the accuracy they demand.

I finally got CBE to call me back after a week of leaving voice mails. They are going to fix it, but that's 2 sets of sights that have been broke. The CBE it broke the actual windage bar the scope rods screws into.

Shooting a limb driver rest and no string stop. Do you thing putting on a string stop would help?

Yes. A string stop will help. I have a 2009 Vantage Elite Plus with a late 90' CBE X2 sight bar with Classic scope. No problems. I think you have some bad parts. My new Pro Comp Elite has some shock but my sight bar has held up ok so far.
