What is the best way to get rid of the bastages... Been out of town, wife says it has rained for the last 4-5 days and the ticks have got out of hand. She's continuously picking them from the pups, and they have all been recently dipped. Whats everyone say?

A few years ago my lawn and dogs (5) got infested with ticks. We had never had ticks in the 20 years I've lived in this house. But I handled them with Advantage drops, Hartz flea/tick spray, and getting an exterminator to spray our property with commercial grade bug killer. They were gone within a week.

try using a Permethrine based spray on the yard.

This is what I use on my hounds. No ticks or fleas.

If Tractor Supply doesn't have them in stock get them to order them.

I cut them into 1/3rds and use a hole punch and zip ties to attach them to the dogs collars. I change them out about every three months. Keep the extras in a zip lock in the freezer.

I had an infestation a year or two ago. I used spectracide hose end pesticide, I may or may not have applied a bit more heavily than the label reads (wink wink). Dipped dogs with permethrin, waited 7 days & applied walmart version of advantix

Back when I lived in the country when had fleas so bad if you went out for a few seconds in shorts no socks you would look like you were wearing socks. Made from fleas. Not exaggerating. We used sevin dust and got ride of all the bugs in our yard. Awesome stuff.
