dwright8 if you want smoke get you some stage five jammers or some other dirty burning injectors.

unomasj, I have heard good things about both the smarty and bully dog. The advantage of the bully dog is you can change settings on the fly.

Black Smoke is somethin that makes me say man that is a nice truck, no matter how beat up, ragged out, etc. it is. Getting a truck to smoke is somethin im upsessed with. Unomasj, the more coal you roll and the louder your truck is the better you are. I guess its just a kid thing these days. More smoke the "cooler" you are

The more smoke you roll the worse the fuel mileage. Looks good but cost a lot more. I think he ask for a programmer that would do the mileage thing, not necessarily the power gains. Wouldn't mind knowing the same thing for my 06 F350 C/C FX4.

OK gang.......dont come down on me cause I own a GM product. Survived a head-on collision in a GMC where the other guy is now paralyzed and I am fine, so its GMC for me from here on out. I went with the Quadzilla programmer and it has made a huge difference. Here is my setup:

                  2006 GMC Duramax Turbo 6.6 4X4
                  285/75/R16 tires

Have just under 30,000 miles and was getting 14.5 MPG. Got the programmer and put it on economy mode.......got NADA. Added 75 horsepower to the engine before heading to the lease to fill protein feeders. Within 10 miles of my home the truck was registering 19.5. Halfway to the lease it was showing 21 doing 60 MPH and 20.5 doing 75 MPH!!!! Now that I am back driving around the town and to work I am getting 20 MPG. I care NOTHING about using the extra horsepower.....I want pure extra mileage. Sorry for "hijacking", we now go back to the regularly scheduled thread.....

I Have A 06 Cummins, I Put The Edge Juice In Mine With The Three Stage Switch. I Now Get About 17.5-18 On Hwy If I Stay Under 2200 Rpm Or So. I Have 50k Miles, I Would Say I Gained About 1.5-2 Mpg's.
The Gain In Hp And Torque Is Nasty. No Down Shifting At All When Pulling Through The Hill Country Heading To Sonora. Very Pleased, But This Is The Only Programmer I Have Had. I Paid A Little Over $600. 06 4x4 2500 4-door W/285 Bfg's Auto

in his Stroke and it burned up all 8 injectors and injector pump when he poured the coals to it. He took it to the Ford garage and they told him it was because he had a chip and to get a programmer next time.

Well considering "Strokes" don't have injector pumps.....What Ford Garage did he go to so I can stay away from it ??? !!!

I don't know exactly what happened to the truck, injector pump or not. He just laid the coals to it and it "no workie no mo". I'm not mechanically inclined I just know they told him to stay away from the chips from now on.

I guess that was my original question I just didn't say it that well. You people with bullydogs, what kind of mileage increase are you seeing??

I have trouble taking advise to ( go to a programmer vs. chip) based on advise about an injector pump problem, that doesn't exist. ????

I don't know exactly what happened to the truck,
... it was because he had a chip and to get a programmer next time.
