We had roping steers that would do that all the time. They never learn.

I grew up on a farm and love me some cows, but they are the dumbest creatures on earth (behind sheep/goats of course). If there is a way for them to get out, tear something up or just plain **** you off. They re gonna do it.

I had a horse do the same thing in the middle of the gate. My dad woke me up at 6am after i didn't get home til 3am to come see what my &$@$ horse had done. Dang horse was walking around in a 5ac horse trap with the gate around his neck and trying to eat grass. He had only been out there for 3hrs! Took about 5min to get it off his neck.
