    Local body of water TRASHED!!!

The "cut" is a branch of the trinity river in the liberty Dayton area. Not many people know about it but I'm sure someone on here has been there. Well I finally got out there today for the first time in a while and it is absolutely trashed. There was an old barge in the water that they were demoing (Idk if it was the state or the oilfields) but every bit of foam inside that 50 foot barge is now covering the entire body of water! THIS IS RIDICULOUS! They say the expenses of our fishing liscenses and boat registrations go to keep our waters clean, well where the hell is the state on this one? I don't see why they couldn't have put a buoy barrier or SOMETHING to contain the foam. I'm trying to get a word in to tpwd but no one seems to show interest. This really chaps me up because this is where I grew up and it sucks to see it like this. Ok rant over...

Call one of the local tv stations to do a story. Not a finger pointing story but rather a group may show interest type of deal.

I have no clue where you are talking about but get on the Internet and contact the local TPWD biologist. Also if it is that bad can't the media and see what they have to say about it.

            you need to report that.
I bet the powers that be do not know about it,
that is a prime example of what everyone is trying to avoid.

Hope they got insurance. We as Texans should not have to pay for that.

Sulphur cut. Call the local game warden and report it.

Owner has been notified. Says he can't afford the clean up. He was asked to get the barge cleaned up and the folks he hired messed it up. Been in the news here in Liberty.

                          That is ridiculous!

May try the "illegal dumping" hotline that I've seen on billboards.

This would be a great Eagle Project for any Boy Scouts looking to do a service project. If there are any parents out there with scouts, you might mention this to them. This would be a fantastic way to promote Scouting and good for the scout looking to make a difference! You'd be surprised what The Boy Scouts can accomplish!
