Bowhunter Ed Interest in Houston Area?

Hey gang,

I posted back in Feb about hosting an IBEP at Sagemont Church in Houston. A lot has happened since then and now I can address it again. We're cutting it fine, but it's doable.

If you're going out of state or applying for Haggarman WMA, this might be for you. Me... I'm just going because it seems like a wise thing to do.

Before I contact Joe Drobniak again, to see what we can wangle in the near future, let's get a show of hands from those interested.

Joe's not teaching additional classes this year, so I have a message in with LSBA's Bob Barnette.

There was some interest before, but if that's changed, I won't pursue it. Just following through on something I said I would do.

Bob is already fully booked, and while we have had another kind offer of support from the LSBA, the limited interest this late in the year makes it not worth pursuing.

OK, another update in response to PMs about a field day.

Joe Drobniak has a class scheduled for September 22nd that is both the field day completion for the NBEF (National Bowhunters Education Foundation) on-line and an IBEP instructor class (International Bowhunter Education Program). It's at PSC in Friendswood. PM me for his email address if you're interested.

To become an IBEP instructor you must have Bowhunter Certification and three years bowhunting experience.
