    "massive" credit card processor breach?

Opened up my Yahoo e-mail account this morning and got this pop-up box...looks pretty authentic...anyone else heard anything about it?

    Attention Yahoo Visitor,

    Data Security Breach Information

We want to make you aware of a significant incident that has occurred. There was a massive system breach at Global Payments, a company that processes credit card transactions for a number of companies, including Visa, Mastercard, American express, Discover and other major credit card brands. Files containing personal credit card information were compromised. We are urging you to check your credit profile for any activity that you did not authorize.

To help protect you , we have made your credit check and scores available today July 18 2013 at no charge. Please be aware that your credit score is free. You get a full credit check after view your credit score.
Then it has the link button etc.

Here is an actual link to the popup...

Does this sound legitimate? I have learned to be very cautious about stuff like this...

This. Check your statements online, call the number on the back of a card if you are concerned.

If an e-mail ever asks you to send information disregard it.

100% scam. Credit card companies will notify you by phone or mail. Do not respond. Got a similar email last month. Called my credit card company and they said they did not send any email what so ever.

Now that we have established that it is a scam, you might want to remove the actual link from the original post so someone doesn't actually click and send info. Ya just never know...
