Build or contract out a deck ?

Anybody have an idea how much, average $ per sq.ft., it would be to have a wooden deck built ?
2x6 treated wood, quality job but nothing really fancy.
I'm good at building stuff, I just don't have the time to do it...
But I will build it if it saves me a considerable amount of $$ !
We just put a pool in and we want a deck around part of it.

Just built this one on the backside of my pool. 8x20 deck
Cost around 400ish to build. Still need to stain and seal it but here is an example for you.

That's a decent per sq ft price. I built 17ft of 6ft tall Cedar fence with 2 gates for around$15 per lin ft. using treated post in concrete.

Should be around $16 a foot. Hire a competent builder though. Not a handy man

Check out Lonestar Decks. They are out of Dallas, but work all over Texas, arkansas, and Oklahoma. Www.lonestardecks.com. They do very good work.
