Best way too build a pit blind?

Looking to put one in at the ranch and was curious whats the best way to do it.
Old water tank?
Build a box blind and sink it?
Starting from scratch so any help who be greatly appreciated

Personally I would go with something that will not rot. A fiberglass water tank would be a good start. Figure out how much of the blind you need above ground so that you can draw and shoot your bow out of a window of your choice. But it won't do any good to put a window in that ultimately you can not easily shoot out of. I like mine as close to the ground as possible, so I am shooting up at the deer. I like to place mine down wind for the prevailing wind direction and face it so as to not be looking into the sun am or pm. Make a door that you can get into easily without kicking dirt into the blind.

You will also need to consider the amount of pressure the dirt will be pushing in and you might have to build a frame inside the blind.
Ventilation is always appreciated on those hot days but not necessary.

if you have all the money in the world. concrete the bottom portion and rock the top. I hunted out of a bunch built like that in aftrca and love them
