    I Need some advise

I want to start bow hunting but I have no clue on what compound bow to purchase. I found this ad on craiglist for a BRAND NEW:::PSE Stinger Compound Bow for $250. Is that a good or bad deal or should I buy another brand?

Pse is a great brand and one of the top bow manufactures around.. I would be crefull about the craigs list stuff there are alot of scams out there.. What i would do is go to a local pro shop and shoot all diffrent makes every manufactor has a bow in a begginers price range...

Go to your nearest bow shop, preferably a site sponsor, and shoot a bunch of different brands. They'll get you fixed up.

I just sold a older pse for $150. They have killed deer for yrs. Don't buy into the hunting industries hype on what you need! Buy wwhat you can afford.

            BUY IT!

I hunted with a stinger as my first bow just a few years ago and killed some critters.
Everyone was always saying how fast it was when I would shoot. These bows don't get the credit they deserve...they have everything u need, easy to adjust draw, incredible speed and compact.
I think its because the price tag is so affordable?
check the reviews online, nothing but 4-5 stars

Like mentioned, be cautious on Craigslist bows. I would start by looking in the Classifieds on this site first. I trust folks on here way more than Craigslist

This, try a bunch of different bows at a pro shop.

If the salesman/bow tech only wants you to shoot or buy a company's flagship ($800 to $1000) bow, find another pro shop. There are plenty of good compounds in the $300 to $500 price range.

IF you have any hope of continuing to bow hunt, it is critical that you get a bow that is fitted properly. Too long or too short a draw length will result in poor performance, frustration and wasted money. Go to a pro shop. They often have used bows in your price range. Let them fit it too you and you will shoot better and likely be much more satisfied. Then let them cut some arrows for you. AVOID going to Academy and just buying some arrows as it coould be disastrous if they are spined incorrectly. Once they cut the arrows you need, you can buy the next set online and save $$$ there. Good luck. Bow hunting is really a kick.
