LEO that passed in Killeen, TX

Since I have joined this site, I've learned there is a large group of LEO's on here plus EMS fellas. Officer Hornsby's service is this Thursday at 10am. He was a great guy, father, and husband. It'd mean a lot to have some support for this officer who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Our department is sending officers to take calls during the service on Thursday. Myself and other officers will be attending.

The guy that killed him used to work in the ER at North Austin Medical Center. My wife knew him. She said he was a nice guy and always punctual and helpful. He was prior service, a medic. He was fighting depression and ptsd from what i have been told and lost it. There was no need for the death of either man. The officer was doing his job and i commend him for it. It is a tragedy for all involved. My sincere condolences for the officer's family.
