What do you all use for flea control outside your house?

We have a pest control company if we have problems. It may not be something you have done, if it's your neighbors you can spray all you want and if they don't treat their yard you'll get them again.

i live in the country with no neighbors. I have sprayed my yard with 40% liquid seven(Ag) about a month ago and sprayed something from Ortho last week. there isnt a ton of them but still on my cats(outside only) and on my inside/outside dog some. He is on Advantage Multi and still gets a few fleas. Just wondering if there is something else i can use. I guess there is nothing to use to get rid of every single one of them is there?

When I get an infestation I will use diazinon granules and put them out with a fertilizer spreader every couple of weeks and water them in when I water the grass. Fortunately it hasn't happened in a long time.

Put the dogs out before you go out and it cuts down on your fleas 80%

take a shower every once in a while and you wont have to worry about fleas...

At the feedstore i work at we sell this stuff called demon wp. It is a powder that you can mix with water and spray it. It works really good and not only will it kill fleas but just about any other bug too.

Demon, I use it also. It kills just about any thing that crawls or fly's.

This sounds "Crazy" but it works. For an immediate result without using chemicals, hang a 60 Watt light about 10" off the ground and place a dish pan underneath. Fill the dish pan with water and stir in about 2 tablespoons of dish detergent. Leave the light on all night and you should have about 1" deep of fleas by morning. Do this each night for about 1 week and your flea problem will be much less. Unfortunately, one flea will produce about 400 in a week (I believe), which is hard to control.

You can also build small fires around your home at dusk and the fleas will be attracted to the flame, jump in and self destruct.
