Gear Guide product questions

Looking the through the sportsman's guide catalogue and saw some pretty good deals on there, particularly cold weather boots.

Are their products any good or are they junk? Post your experiences with them. Thanks.

What I've seen is that Guide Gear is a step below. But I've only seen a couple of items like stands.

well.... for the most part junk. If you need something for just one use it might get the job done. Something like cold weather boots I would not buy. I bought a few items and sometimes multiples of the same item. Like back packing tarps. Each one was a different size from what ordered. One let water bleed thru in a rain storm. All of them and poor quality grommets. Did it get everyone in the group covered for less than the price of one good tarp. Yes, but they wont last which is ok cause they are loners.

Also bought some walking targets. They fall apart when the round hit them. Fil welded them together so the work now. If it is a modifiable item that wont get a whole lot of use. Sure might get lucky. If it is something you are going to use and depend on. Pass it up.
