Maybe I need to start a Bilstein thread. .

The reason I'm replacing is because I have a new F150 with the towing package/shocks and it rode fine until I did he spacer lift and tires. Now it's WAY to bumpy/stiff! Just on regular roads, not just "off roading". A dip in the road feels like a ditch! lol

I've got Ranchos on my F250, were installed already when I bought it, and I can tell no difference between setting 1 and 9 or anything in between.
Yes I was, the ride settings on them are worthless. You would be much better off going with an actual leveling kit and a better shock

I went with the Bilstein 5100 all the way around on my F150 supercrew.. I set them on the second to highest setting. Running 275x65x20 (34.1" tall) Terra Grapplers. The shocks have been great!

Went with the Bilsteins on the highest setting (2.5" I think). Waaay to stiff on country roads IMO. Even on most city roads.
            Back to the drawing board.

If you have kept the factory spring and just used a spacer then it is the tires. It sounds like you have a stiffer sidewall more ply's and that will cause it to ride a little harsher. No shock is going to soften that ride for you.

As far a shock the Bilsteins are hands down better than the Ranchos and anything else I have tried. What kind of tires do you have on there now Cuz?

Same tire I had on my 06 and it rode fine. The only difference in this truck and my 06 is the spring and shock.
