What to do and where to stay in and around Round Rock?

Me and the family will coming there from July 20th thru the 26th for a World Series baseball tournament. I was fixing to look at lodging on line but figured I'd see what the green screen had to say about places to stay in and around Rock Rock. We haven't been anywhere for a vacation this summer so was thinking of trying to find a house/cabin just outside the area maybe? Also, during our down time with baseball, what is there to do in and around the area? Any suggestions would be great and thanks!

Go check out inner space caverns. It's pretty cool and it stays around 72 degrees year round. It's a good way to get out of the heat and its pretty cool down there. It's north of round rock about 3 miles I think.

Can't help you with where to stay but you should plan on stopping at Round Rock Donuts once.

For some good Mexican food hit up Chuy's. for a good burger go to The Little Red wagon. It's on 79 headed east, it will be on your right.

And whatever you do don't tell your wife that there is an Ikea in RR. It will waste a whole day!!!

I have stayed many a night in the Hilton Garden Inn there on 35 and walked to either Chuey's or Salt Grass to eat. Typical nice Hilton Garden Inn. There is a Holiday Inn Express right next to it.

Louisiana Longhorn is good grub so is Jack Allen's Kitchen. Austin isn't that far for down time stuff depending on how long you have. The Bob Bullock History Museum, the State Capitol and all the other stuff that is in Austin.

There's also a water park in Old Settlers park behind the Dell Diamond. Or you can take the kids to a ball game at the Dell Diamond.

Austin Park and Pizza is in RR. It has Go karts, laser tag, video games, putt putt, water bumper boats, and Pizza buffet.(like Ci Ci's).One price all day all you can play, eat and ride.

Salt Lick BBQ right there at Dell Diamond (ask Kergan how good it is)
Louisiana Longhorn Cafe in downtown RR is the BOMB!
Garcia's in Pflugerville is goot mexican food...there is one on 35 just north of 79 but it wasn't as good as the one in Pflugerville)
RR Donuts has the best donuts EVER!~
Pho Lee has the best Vietnamese food around, 35 and SH45

Waterpark in RR off 79 somewhere I think

Double G in Georgetown
Austin Park and Pizza is a good place for the kids...just not now if it's as hot as it has been lately....that is a concrete jungle so it's even hotter than every where else
20-21 there are RR Express games at the diamond, might get a chance to see Manny Ramirez play

Can't help you much, but if youve got a hankerin for pizza, and the Express score more than 7 runs, Express7 works at Papa John's. You might even get to use both Rangers7 and Express7. Other than that, all i can say is enjoy Dell Diamond.
