Deep freeze placement.

I am moving and taking my deep freeze today. Have two places I've been thinkin of putting it.

1-I can put it in the open car port. If I do that I will have to find a way to put a lock on it.

2- I can put it in the spare bedroom. Only thing about this is that it would be sitting on carpet. Is that ok?

What y'all think?

No there is not any other place to put it. Space is limited right now.

Mine is under our carport. A lock will work but locks only keep honest people out. We dummy lock ours and haven't had any problems but I've got motion lights in the carport and a Home Security System too.

No problem with it sitting on carpet. DO not drill holes for a lock if you go that route, there are freon lines inside the liner.

If you put it in the carport make sure it's not plugged into a GFCI plug. It will trip an ruin all your meat.

Ok sounds good. She wanted it inside so it's on carpet. Will check the plug and make sure it's ok. Thinking about it, the plugs are two prong and my freezer is three, she has an adapter that plugs into it for a 3 prong, is that ok?

Could cut a piece of luan to fit under the freezer to make sure it breaths properly and protects the carpet some.

Try to put the freezer in frt of the plug to protect it. With plugin exposed, it sure is easy for an accidental unplug....... EEEEw. spoiled meat in the bedroom....
