    A/C in Jeep

My son turns 16 in September and I am going to give him my truck to drive, so I have been looking at buying a plain Jane Jeep Wrangler to drive back and forth to work with. As I have been looking at them, a lot of them dont come with A/C. It is a $950 add to have A/C. In the summer I plan of having the top off anyway, so do I really need A/C ?

What do you Jeep guys recommend, A/C or not ?

I would get it just to have it. If you are driving when it's raining (if it ever does again, right?), it sure would make it nice when the top was on.

      Definitely AC.
You'll drive with the top off less than you think you will

need AC. even at 70 MPH its still hot. and its a humid sum gun when its raining and you have the top on.

A/C for sure....when you go to trade it off or sell it,you will be glad that you did.

I turned my A/C compressor into an on-board air system in my 94 jeep. That way I could run pneumatic tools or air up/down the tires. If you want to turn the a/c on, roll down the window or take off the top!
Honestly though, on a DD functioning a/c would certainly be nice.

Good points-- better resale value, needing the A/C if-when it rains. Looks like I will be going with the A/C.

                Thanks.
