What's cool between Dallas and Houston?

And I mean, literally, cool as in not hot! We're taking a trip to see Hubby's dad in Dallas, and want to take a few days to chillax on the way home. Trouble is, I don't do well in the hot 'n' humid weather. It makes me ill.

So, let's have some suggestions on places to visit that's either indoors, shady, or just not humid.

We enjoy Texas history, bow or gun joints, museums, or just good ol' fun. Whatcha got?

Lol, you guys. Hey, my hubby still teases me for pronouncing Buc-ees as "Byoo-sees". They don't have Bucky's in England. What can I tell ya?!

You're better off hanging in DFW a couple extra days.... there ain't nuthin to do between here and there. All the fun stuff is up there, like CCR, Cabelas, Great wolf. etc

Woody's in Centerville is a must stop. Then when you've had your fill, drive to the other side of 45 and go to the other one

Ha, I say the same thing about dallas. Im always ready to get back to houston where people are real and know how to drive... fast. Not much on that trip for fun though. Good eats in Fairfield though.

Yep, CCR and Cabelas will be done. I've got points to spend. Didn't know about Great Wolf. Just looked it up and will add it to the list of possibilities.

I wonder if they have andouille?! Probably not, but I'll add it to the list of stops to make.
