    I looked at it in your album. It is a typical preform. Many cultures traveled to the Texas hill country to quarry Edwards chert like that. In most cases , it was flaked into a generic blade to lighten the weight in travel. Then it was traded or used . Some became opportunistic knives and were used then resharpened.

    Basically, it is an artifact to be finished later.

            I think I would call it a Marcos..whatever it is it's worth some $ due to the quality!! Very nice find

            May be called a Marshall also!

                  My daughter was playing on the edge of the creek that runs through our property this afternoon and made a cool find. She was so excited! Any idea what type it is? Cherokee County.
