            Erik,

            Yes, I took the photo before picking it up. It was sitting on a ~1.5 inch "pedestal" of soil. Easiest find in the world. It's common to find flint on 1-3" pedestals in these parts due to erosion.

                3 that I found in Webb county this weekend. I think the one on the left is a Caracara but not sure on the other two. Any thoughts?

                    Pretty sure those are all fairland types. I have found a bunch of them in Dimmit county.
