What else can you do for $5?

I have been working the entrance booth at Eisenhower State Park all week. The day-use entry fee is $5/person age 13 and older; kids 12 and younger are free. Y'all can probably figure that I've heard some pretty colorful language this week... What else can you do for $5 a person? You can't see a movie. You can't buy a deluxe meal at a fast food place. I guess people assume that it's just another minimally maintained park like so many around Lake Texoma. Don't get me wrong, I love working out here and working the booth is the "coolest" job out here (because it's air-conditioned). Y'all come visit!

If they don't want to pay it- haul your ars. Tell-em to go to a movie, mall, etc.

I have no problem paying to use a state park, most of the state parks around me charge at least $7 per adult and I still think that's too cheap. I purchased the annual state park pass and highly recommend it to everyone with children or people who like the outdoors. Tell them to turn around and use the city parks if they don't like paying.

Just took my wife and son (9 years old) to 'Man of Steel' I'm IMAX 3D and it was $34 JUST FOR THE SEATS.

The snack bar was another $20, and that's with my wife carrying in our own candy from the Dollar Store.
