I have been working the entrance booth at Eisenhower State Park all week. The day-use entry fee is $5/person age 13 and older; kids 12 and younger are free. Y'all can probably figure that I've heard some pretty colorful language this week... What else can you do for $5 a person? You can't see a movie. You can't buy a deluxe meal at a fast food place. I guess people assume that it's just another minimally maintained park like so many around Lake Texoma. Don't get me wrong, I love working out here and working the booth is the "coolest" job out here (because it's air-conditioned).
Y'all come visit!
