My cousin and I are going on our first Public Land OTC Elk hunt in CO opening week and can't wait. I have been studying Google Earth like a Forensic Scientist, finding out-of-the way water holes and printing off their coordinates and aerial pics.

Very cool video. Is that you?

      Yep!

I hear ya, my favorite past time is Google Earth Hunting. FUN STUFF! Hope y'all have a great trip! Just never forget the further you shoot an animal in, the further you have to pack it out. I always bring salt an pepper in case I have to eat it there.

Great video. I went to Co. In 2000 and got a 6x5 OTC bull in the Routt NF?

That was a great trip and I can't wait to do it again.

            Here's a tip
If u Zoom google earth to the area you know u will be hunting and just scroll all over it saves the images in its cache so u don't need Internet access next time u view it... Aka on the trail
We used it last time when trying to locate a herd bull and it was super thick brush but earth showed a small Aspen clearing , sure enough we kept pushing through and it gave us the shot we needed

So now we can put a face with EBH……..

              Nice video.

Why no shot on the bear; was it a sow?

The Daniel Boone theme song at the end sent this video over the top for me…..
