The whole concept of staying in a GB and using a phone enough to run down the bat is just unthinkable to my simple mind. If a fellow has enough for thought to set up a 12v system in a GB and could he not think to leave camp with a fully charged phone? Or do you play on the phone enough to run it down in a days (or the few hours most guys sit) hunt?
Surfing the GS an havin a live thread goin will drain your battery!!

My phone is fully charged when I leave camp, but after surfing TBH for a couple hours, it's pretty much dead. I also don't have a 12-volt system in my blind.
For anyone who only wants to keep their phone charged, here is what I did -
Cigarette lighter with pig tail from walmart - about 6 bucks
Alligator clips - had some laying around
12v feeder battery - 10 to 15 bucks or so at the feed store
Hook up the plug to the feeder battery and you can charge your phone quite a few times before it runs down. I just brought the battery back to camp every so often and recharged it, but if you want to leave it in the blind just hook up a solar panel.
I'm sure a fan would kill it in no time, but this little set up worked great for me.
i'm thinking a couple of marine deep cycle batteries will run a fan a long, long time.. don't you guys have boats with trolling motors,,, that thing is pulling a lot more juice than a 12volt fan, and if you hook a solar panel and charger up,, im thinking your going to get a lot of life...
yall got me thinking about a tiny a/c unit in mine now! to heck with a fan!
