The city is having it's local fireworks show tonight. It will be at the city's sport complex(youth baseball and soccer fields)the local high school is 1/2 mile down from it. The school and complex property actually connects to each other at point. Sign says on entrance city sport complex. My question is can a chl carry his weapon legally at complex for the show tonight? Reason I ask is cause last year there was several reports of robbery after the show while folks were heading back to there cars. The complex has a lot of land where folks like to sit away from the crowds and no lighting for hundreds of yards away.

doesn't matter if school or city if you are not going into any school buildings. you can carry on the grounds just not in the facilities.Comment

Penal Code 46.03 (in part) ...This section makes it an offense to possess or carry any weapon into the following places, even if the person is a license holder.
physical premises of a public or private school, any grounds or building on which an activity sponsored by a school or educational institution is being conducted...
46.035 (in part)...On the premise where a high school, collegiate, or professional sporting or interscholastic event is taking place (unless the holder is participating in an event in which a handgun is used)
In short, if no 30.06 sign then you are ok!Comment
