welp...went out to some more bank shootin' today...was an overall success in my book bagged my biggest gar to date (even though i haven't even measured or weighed it yet)...shot 2 smaller gar right off the bat...unfortunately i left them on the bank (far away from the water) for about 30 minutes while i walked down river a bit...came back and a bird must of taken one of em ...then i waded out a bit waist deep and shot the bigger one...and added a carp to the mix...caught the little cat with a rod and reel...had a blast...here are some pics...i love this bowfishin stuff!!! i just cant stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks!...skeeter, yeah i shoot the barracuda...i love it...awesome compact bow with plenty of punch for any fish...i'm gonna clean the gar and cat...carp i give away if someone wants it...if not, bury them somewhere

i need a good gar ball recipe...anyone got one?...how do gar fillets taste just fried like catfish?

gar is just like snake if you are from east texas shouldnt take you long to figure that one out

i have eaten gar balls before...just never cooked em myself...i've never had fried gar filets though...are they good?

Nice shooting,
I just got back from the lake, not bowfishing, but did put 5 nice reds in the boat all around 23-25", and some cats as well. We need to hit up the lake sometime this week and stick some fish if this wind will ever quit.
