    Respect for single parents!

I am one temporarily. Wife has been netting reds on Kodiak for three weeks and isn't due back for two more.
Man! It's tough. Good on you single parents that can pull it off.
    Clean.
    Cook.
    Laundry.
    Repeat.

Negative greenhorn....It's easier to ask for forgiveness than it is for permission.

Take the Nike stance and just "do it"....go ahead I double dog dare ya!

I hear ya. I have been a single parent since my daughter was 2, and she turns 14 this month. It is a lot of work, but I wouldn't change it for anything.

It can be trying! I've done it more than part time for 14 year's! It's also very memorable, no one to haggle you about doing thing's your way or someone being overprotective.

You probably know this, but your tripod feeder by the tree stand is flat on the ground.

The toughest part is re-establishing a new routine. Kids need routine to keep them straight. But at the same time the controlled chaos makes them stronger.

My dad always told me "there's no time to learn to be a good parent, you just got to do it."

                      Makes sense now.

There is one heck of a learning curve at first but after that it's smooth sailing with moment so what did I get myself into. Did it for sixteen years my Baby girl will turn 21 in a couple of months.

Routine and discipline consistency is what kids crave and need. Your love and attention
they require. The bond forged through the tempering (trials, testing, consoling) will endure forever. Your own growth will astound you. Their growth will amaze you. Family

Like everyone else has said, keep a routine. As a single parent I've learned not to stress about not getting everything done and wrinkled clean clothes out of the laundry basket wear just as good as clean clothes out of the closet. If I'm wearing wrinkled clothes you know i chose playing with my son over putting laundry away lol

don,t have the kids living with me but after 23 years of marriage life sure changes when you get divorced, my biggest adjustment is paying the bills, she always ran the books, I,m self-employed, now I do all the cooking [which I enjoy} the laundry,{not bad] running the business { I am a one man crew } doing the work I don,t mind, BUT KEEPING THE 'BOOKS' SUCKS. I HATE doing paper work. the only paper work I don,t mind is in the bathroom l.o.l........if you know a good looking female book keeper, let me know, I may keep her
