    Feeder idea

Had an idea to take my feeder that the deer won't come to. Take the legs off and rig it up where I can winch it up real high in a pecan tree. Where the deer can't see it. Do u think this is a good idea or bad

I have one that I winch up about 15 feet in a tree. The deer don't have any problems coming to it, but I have seen several of them looking up at it. Keep in mind the deer on my place also have no problem eating at my winch up feeder. I have had several friends that swear that it helps to get your feeder as high as possible. Good luck with it.

Are you sure there's deer there and they aren't coming to the feeder? I've never seen deer that scared of a feeder.

As long as you can keep the coons from tearing it up.

You realize deer can look up in the tree right? If they can see hunters 25 foot up, they can see a feeder..

Ignorant response... Deer in E. Tx are terrified of feeders in a lot of places. I've seen this scenario work. I'm not saying you're gonna kill your best deer ever there, but it will help with deer coming in.
