Fished Mansfield Friday and Saturday. I havent been since last year so Friday was about figuring where the fish were. Saturday we were done with 5 man trout limits by 9:00 (I was done at 7:15) before picking up a few reds and flounder later. Largest trout was 23.5". I hit a spot not long into my first wade and caught trout on nearly every cast for about an hour and a half. I went and picked up the other guys and brought them over to finish up their limits. All of our fish were caught on topwaters or tails. We were off the water before noon. I love that place. This was my last fishing trip for the year as Im going to have to have my left shoulder operated on again so Im glad it ended on a high note. I found out later in the day my grandma passed away while I was out there. I figure she had a little to do with my success. I was always her favorite.
