That's why we only go there late winter/early spring. There are some real crazy people down there in the summer. Probably due to minimal law enforcement presence.

Three confirmed dead in shooting at McFaddin Beach



Jefferson County deputies say at least three people including a gunman are dead after a shooting at McFaddin Beach in Jefferson County.

Chief Deputy Zena Stephens tells 12News that it appears the shooting is between a girlfriend, boyfriend and an ex boyfriend. She says the 911 call that came in at about 4 p.m. reported that several people had been hit by shots and the gunman turned the gun on himself. She said deputies are still en route to the shooting.
