    Spray Foamers...

Anyone on here do spray foam insulation. Needing an idea on how much it would cost on about 150 sqft of closed cell insulation. Im gonna make some phone calls tomorrow but was trying to get an idea for now. Was lookin for DIY kits but they seem pretty high. But I may be wrong. Looking to have the inside of a bow blind done. Thanks

You may better off doing the DIY as something as small as a bow blind, most companies would probably not even crank up their machine for that small of coverage. None of it is cheap.

The DIY kits I saw were minimum $200 and that covered about 100sqft laid on 1". Figured it might be a little cheaper than that to do the whole thing but I have no idea what the stuff goes for these days. Guess I could haul it around on a trailer until I find someone who is doing it at a house and see if they'll do it real quick for some cash under the table

Is this the standard thickness. That seems a little thick for a blind.

You talking about the sheets of it that are used for walk in coolers and stuff? Not sure how well that would work being how rigid it is, this is in a round water tank. I've got a thread about the build in the DIY section.

Dude, I did it about three years ago with the DIY kit. I DON'T recommend it. Ended up costing me over $400 before it was all said and done and the wind did it in. More power to you but it didn't work for me. The only one Ive ever seen work was all open cell on the inside with one layer of closed cell on the outside and it was done by a guy who owned a foaming company. Looked cool but expensive.

BB, ok on the round. The insulation board would not work in that case. Back to square 1. I think your idea of maybe contacting one of the businesses that do this in town and find out where their next job is and find out if you could take the stand over there and have them do it while their machine is ginning.

Bingo..... I heard they have to spray it all out of the tank after every job. You could easily cut a deal with them at then end of a day job.

Thanks for the info, the price alone had been turning me away but now that helps even more. Don't think I want to do the outside but I've seen a blind that looked like it was done with something similar. Looked like a big pile of lake moss.

Do you know of anyone else in town that's well know besides Jferg and ABF? I was going to give them a shout tomorrow and ask.

Ya, wonder what they do with what's left over. Pile it up in your attic
