KJO in a month!!! It's gonna be HOT!!!

In a little less than a month I will be at KJO!! It will be our first time to Keith's place. I have read lots of reports and reviews and sounds like Keith runs a first rate operation. I understand it's going to be really hot and I hear we should listen to Keith and follow his advice which I plan to do, but what I'm wondering is what is the best way to conceal my scent when its 110*? I keep my clothes in a scent bag with earth scent wafers, and plan to wear shorts and tshirt under a mesh leafy suit. Is there a better tactic for hot South Texas axis deer hunts? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

We went last year in August and it was brutal. We saw a lot of animals and we all got at least one kill. There are a lot of ground blinds that may help with the scent. We played the wind and hung our hunting clothes out side, I don't think any of us got busted because of scent. Good luck it's gonna be a blast.

If you don't mind heights, ask Keith to put you in one of his tree stands near water. Should help keep your scent above the animals. Definitely listen to Keith and Wade, and have a great trip!

I read something on here about washing your release or something, never heard of that before but it always has crossed my mind..

Don't worry about scent and worry about tick control....

Not afraid of heights so tree stands are fine with me. As for ticks....100%deet?
