Gonna give him the benefit of the doubt until proven otherwise.

I remember watching a video of Phil saying that basically they were waiting to see if the show took of before pushing their religious theme at a higher dose.

They have an audience.

Not judging, not my place. But, I have a hard time thinking that GOD called him away from his congregation to go be on TV.

I think having the pastor on the show will just help support there religious beliefs.

I have daughters ages three and six and DD is by far their favorite show. It's nice to see something innocent on prime time these days.

kind of sad to see the skepticisim here about Alans intentions for joining the show but hey to each their own i suppoose. Ive listened to Messages from Phil and Brother Willie before and after the show and I have never once thought their intentions were anything but good. They have brought a little prayer into millions of homes in the last few years and that my friends is Gods work

With the popularity at an all time high, why not take advantage of that to help spread the word. Instead of having a local ministry, he now has access to a nationwide audiance to spread the word. Guest appearances at other churches around the country. Guest appearances at Christian Conventions around the country. A lot of good can come through this. I know I would make a special trip to see him and Phil preach the word of god.

X2. I've met them and listened to Phil preach before and enjoyed it. It makes me feel good when I can hear someone preach about God on TV and not be persecuted for it. The world needs more shows like this and more families like them. Preach on and continue giving God his praise.

Alan has appeared on the original Duck Commander show when it first started. He has been doing public speaking events for several years and always bills himself as a Duck Commander". Sooo, he had been involved with all the guys since the get go, just not his main focus. Will be interesting to see how big a role he has on the show.

X 3, I couldn't agree with you more! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel that this is the only show on TV that my family can sit down and watch together! I know of non believers who watch this show almost religiously, you can't tell me that won't have some sort of impact or plant a seed!

Some of the comments I read in this post are unbelievable. I'm not going to open a can of worms here, but criticizing a gentleman for pursuing something like this is comical! What are those of you doing in regards to recent decisions that are being made in our state government and supreme courts? In my opinion, those are much bigger issues that deserve criticism....
