    Hotel in Leakey area???

I am headed down to Kerrville in the morning to do a job, so I thought I would take the family with me. I plan to go to Leakey afterward for the weekend to check it out and get in the river. Are there any hotels? Any idea where we could stay on short notice? I have never been there and I have no clue?

    Any help would be appreciated.

There are several cabin rental places in the area. Frioman, neals lodge et . May be all booked up though

My wife and I stayed in cabins. I'll try to find the name...I remember that they had pecan trees everywhere. Nice place. Leakey is my favorite place in Texas.

I stayed in one there a few years ago, I don't remember the name, it's an old rock motel. If your lucky they've improved it since then, there's another, newer one up the street on the right. Not much help but we're having to rely on my memory, which is definitely not the ideal data storage device.

This time of year is hit or miss with some of the cabins. I think the old rock motel mentioned is closed up if it's the one in the middle of town. Lots of neat cabins in the area, but with 4th coming you may not have much choice. Check this link for lodging.
                  http://www.friocanyonchamber.com/ Good luck.
